The Best Full-Day Charter in the US Virgin Islands

If you want to dive into everything the US Virgin Islands offer, our full-day charter is the way to go. With 6+ hours on the water, you’ll have time to snorkel, swim, island hop, and take in all the beauty at your own pace.

Most of our full-day trips circle St. John, offering a mix of popular stops and hidden gems. Snorkel with sea turtles in Maho Bay, explore the vibrant reefs at Waterlemon Cay, or cruise through the calm waters of Caneel Bay, Hurricane Hole, and Hansen Bay. History buffs will love a quick stop at the Reef Bay Sugar Mill Ruins, tucked away on the island’s south shore.

For lunch, we can pull up to Lime Out VI, the floating taco bar in Coral Bay, or swing by Pizza Pi in Christmas Cove, where your pizza gets delivered straight to the boat.

Looking for something a little different? Some guests choose to loop around St. Thomas instead, stopping at scenic spots like Magens Bay, Turtle Cove at Buck Island, or Honeymoon Beach on Water Island. As always, our route depends on the weather and sea conditions, but every itinerary is fully customizable to fit your interests.

*Fuel is not included in the charter cost and will be billed based on usage at current pump rates.

Frequently Asked Questions about our day charters in the virgin islands

Got questions? We’ve got answers. Here’s everything you need to know before you hop aboard for an unforgettable day on the water.

Fuel is not included and will be charged based on how far we travel. We’ll give you an estimate before we go so there are no surprises.

We’re licensed for up to 10 guests on Bonus Time (29′ Power Catamaran) and 12 guests on Down Time (32′ Power Catamaran). The base charter cost covers up to six with each passenger after incurring an additional $50 fee.

We offer complimentary pick-up and drop-off at American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook (St. Thomas) and the National Park Visitor Center in Cruz Bay (St. John). We also offer pick-ups at Sapphire Marina on St. Thomas and The Westin on St. John for an additional fee.

Please note: The Westin does not allow use of their dock—pick-up there will be beachside, with water typically knee to waist deep. This option is available for Westin guests only.

Gratuity is never expected, but always appreciated! If you had a great time out on the water, a standard tip is around 20% of the charter price. Your captain puts in a lot of work behind the scenes—planning your day, checking weather and sea conditions, prepping the boat, and making sure everything runs smoothly—often starting days in advance. A tip is a great way to say thanks for all the effort that goes into making your trip unforgettable.

Absolutely! We love welcoming cruise ship guests for full-day adventures. While we don’t offer pick-up at the cruise port, it’s an easy taxi ride to our departure location at American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook, St. Thomas. We recommend giving yourself a little extra time to get there comfortably and stress-free.

Booking a full-day charter is a great way to make the most of your limited time in the islands—you’ll have more flexibility, more stops, and a truly unforgettable day on the water before heading back to your ship.

We don’t have a bathroom on the boat, but you’ll have access to clean marina restrooms before and after your trip. And don’t worry—while we’re out, we’re never far from a land-based restroom if needed. Honestly, it’s a much more comfortable option than a tiny boat toilet anyway!

Cancellations made at least 72 hours in advance are fully refundable. If the weather forces us to cancel, you’ll get a full refund or the option to reschedule—your call.

Island weather can change fast! A passing shower usually isn’t a problem, but if the captain determines it’s unsafe to head out, we’ll reschedule or refund you—your safety comes first.

A little breeze is part of island life, but we always adjust our route to make the ride as smooth and enjoyable as possible. If it’s too rough, we’ll talk through options with you.

We provide coolers, ice, and bottled water on board. You’re welcome to bring your own snacks, drinks, or even cocktails—just no glass, please. Lunch is up to you, but we’re happy to stop at one of the awesome floating restaurants or beach bars along the way.

Sunscreen (reef-safe if you have it), sunglasses, a towel, a swimsuit, and whatever snacks or drinks you’d like. We’ll take care of the rest!

Absolutely! We’ve got snorkel gear, floats, and pool noodles available for you to use—and we’ll take you to some of the best spots around.
